Editorial Policy

Effective Date: 08/13/2026

At Modern Web Systems Journal, our core mission is to provide highly practical, architecture-level guidance and technical decision notes for business web applications, portals, and modernization programs.

Because our readership consists of engineering managers, product owners, CTOs, and technical buyers who rely on accurate information to make high-stakes business and technology decisions, maintaining editorial integrity and transparency is our highest priority.

This Editorial Policy outlines our standards for content creation, authorship, sourcing, and commercial disclosures.

  1. Editorial Mission and Independence

Our content is designed to solve complex engineering and architectural challenges, not to serve as direct marketing material. Every article, technical note, and architecture guide is evaluated based on its utility to our readers. We prioritize evidence-based approaches, objective comparisons, and actionable insights over promotional messaging.

  1. Authorship and Professional Affiliations

To ensure our content is rooted in real-world experience, our articles are written by named, active practitioners in the software engineering and architecture fields.

Disclosure of Affiliation: Many of our contributing authors and editors are professionally affiliated with BitByte Technology, a software development and technology consulting firm. We believe that this hands-on industry experience is what makes our technical guidance valuable. However, we maintain a strict boundary between educational content and commercial promotion. The specific affiliations of our authors are always clearly stated in their author bios at the end of each article.

  1. Transparency and Commercial Disclosures

We are committed to absolute transparency regarding commercial interests, vendor references, and software recommendations. Vendor Neutrality: When comparing tools, frameworks, or SaaS products, our authors strive to present balanced, objective analyses that highlight both strengths and trade-offs.

Commercial Citations: If an article references a commercial resource, proprietary tool, or service—including those offered by BitByte Technology—the relationship to the author or publication will be explicitly disclosed within the text or in a dedicated disclosure statement at the bottom of the post.

  1. Sourcing, Citations, and Technical Accuracy

We expect our authors to substantiate their technical claims. Code and Architecture Examples: Where useful, our articles include code snippets, repository links, and architecture diagrams to provide concrete, verifiable examples of the concepts being discussed.

External Links: We frequently link to official documentation, open-source repositories, and third-party industry research. Any outbound links—including those to affiliated properties—are strictly vetted to ensure they directly answer reader questions or provide necessary context. We do not participate in paid link-building schemes.

  1. Corrections and Updates

Technology moves fast, and web systems architecture is constantly evolving. If we publish an error regarding a technical specification, framework capability, or factual data point, we will correct it as quickly as possible.

Material Corrections: Significant factual corrections will be noted at the bottom of the updated article, detailing what was changed and when. Content Decay: We periodically review older articles. If a piece of architectural guidance becomes deprecated or obsolete, we will either update the article to reflect modern standards or add a disclaimer noting that the information applies to legacy systems.

  1. Reader Feedback

We welcome scrutiny and feedback from the engineering community. If you believe an article falls short of these editorial standards, lacks proper disclosure, or contains a technical inaccuracy, please reach out to us via our Contact Page.
